The U.S. has the highest incarceration rates in the world.

1 in every 110 Americans is behind bars, and 1 out of every 15 will serve prison time in their lifetime. Roughly half of the released inmates are back behind bars within 3 years.

Over 60% of people in prison today are people of color.

There are more African American men incarcerated in the U.S. than the total prison populations in India, Argentina, Canada, Lebanon, Japan, Germany, Finland, Israel and England combined.

6x

Black men are six times more likely to be incarcerated than white men.

2.5x

Black men are 2.5 times more likely to be incarcerated than Hispanic men.

1/10

1 in every 10 black men in their thirties is in prison or jail on any given day.

Jesus came to save the lost, preach the Good News to the poor, and proclaim liberty to the captive and oppressed.

We bring His gospel to jails, prisons, halfway houses, and transitional homes — focusing on people, not programs. We believe that it is the responsibility of the church to reach out to those who are working their way out of a life of addiction, crime, and incarceration.
